Francesc Cassú
Francesc Cassú (Girona, 25th October 1965) received his early musical training from his father, Josep Cassú, and from Josep Viader, who claims that Cassú was his best pupil. He continued at the Conservatori de Música de Girona (Girona Music Conservatory) and completed his musical studies with the advanced qualification at the Conservatori de Música del Liceu (Lyceum Music Conservatory). He has been conducting La Principal de la bisbal cobla band since 1992, when he took up the baton at the age of just 26 years of age. He has worked as guest conductor with the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès (El Vallès Symphony Orchestra), the Orquestra Filharmònica de Catalunya (Philharmonic Orchestra of Catalonia) and the Orquestra de Cambra de l'Empordà (Empordà Chamber Orchestra), as well as the major cobla bands in Catalonia.
Cassú's outstanding symphony production has been played by the best orchestras in the country, and he has received many major awards throughout his his musical career. He is Head of Department and teaches harmony and musical theory at the Conservatori de Música de Girona (Girona Music Conservatory). He is also head of Girona Music Conservatory Cobla School.

Carles Coll
Carles Coll (Figueres, 14th April 1952) studied at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu (Lyceum Higher Music Conservatory) and at the Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona (Barcelona Municipal Higher Music Conservatory). He has orchestrated and composed diverse works and shows for orchestra. He has played as a soloist with diverse European orchestras and chamber groups, and has been in diverse chamber ensembles.
As a guest conductor, he has conducted the Ensemble Orchestral Perpignan Languedoc Roussillon, the Capella Istropolitana from Bratislava, the Symphonic Orchestra of the State of Slovakia, the Çukurova State Symphony Orchestra of Turkey, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra, the Orquestra Sinfónica del Teatro de Cienfuegos (Cienfuegos Theatre Symphony Orchestra) in Cuba, the Orquestra Sinfónica Nacional de Panamá (Panama National Symphony Orchestra), the Knox-Galesburg Symphony Orchestra, of the State of Illinois, the Kazakhstan National Symphony Orchestra, the Povoa de Varzim Symphony Orchestra (Portugal) and the London City Chamber Orchestra.
In 2007 he was awarded the Lluís Carulla Foundation Civil Action Prize for Catalan-Speaking Countries. In 2009, with the support of Valvi Foundation, writer Josep Valls edited the biography Carles Coll, la música que mou fronteres (Carles Coll, music that moves borders). Carles Coll is the originator, founder and conductor of the Orquestra de Cambra de l'Empordà and the Orquestra Filharmònica de Catalunya.
